    Help ID LE111A Woofers?

    Hello,

I'm considering purchasing a set of JBL-l110's and would love some expert opinions on if the le-111a drivers look like original woofer cones or a recone w/ non JBL authentic (C8RLE111A) kit? They were almost certainly re-foamed circa 1999 and have a work order sticker from a highly regarded audio shop in Medford, Oregon at the time. I'm just wondering if these were coated correctly as my research indicates they should be coated w/ Aquaplas. The surrounds do seem to be the correct smaller versions, and the woofer materiel seems authentic and original, so I suppose the coating wouldn't be deal-breaking, as the overall condition and great mids/tweets are value added. Anyone have thoughts on these? Thank you.

The cones should have the white aquaplas coating on the back side. I would have to say they have been reconed with an aftermarket recone kit not an OEM JBL recone kit. Here's a link to the tech sheet which includes recone kit info on the L110:

I see, thank you! Hopefully the quality is close, as the coating looks to be a black version of a similar material.
