    Class D power amplifiers

In a time where there is a strong focus on energy savings. Can we have the right, good sound from a power amplifier that uses little energy?

Some of these firms deliver modules to several famous HI-FI companies.

Does anyone have any experiences, opinions?

I have been using a Ram-Audio S4044 class D amp for some time and was quite happy with it.
I am now switching to hypex nc400 modules and am really happy so far: the specs tell the whole story.
They are expensive though, especially when one wants to build a fully active 3 or 4 way system...

It seeems to me that a 5x100 W AV receiver with class D sounds only sweet at more or less moderate
levels. A common 5x100 W class AB amp seems to to be more tolerant when driven hard.

In my opinion the class d amp based on the ti chips sound quite nice. Ive have quite a few amp boards from Class D Audio and I loved them. Wish I never sold my 600 watt 2 channel amp.
