Looks like zip cord to me. Which is fine from an electrical standpoint, but not particularly high-end.

That cabling looks very much like lamp cabling to me. Maybe my home lighting is hi-end Thanks for helping destroy the myth of snob cabling.

Monster Cable was used in the 250Ti TBQ model and that fact is printed
on the binding post panel. don't know of any other models that did it.

JBL has used Monster Cable in the past in the XPL series so I wouldn't be surprised if the newer series had them too but to me it looks just like plain 2-2.5mm2 OFC copper wire.

That mafia story reminds me of countries like Russia or Ukraine, I've heard similar stories from friends...sad guys come along and break your stuff (and sometimes parts your body too ) because you haven't paid "the money".

Today an old JBL player in Macao told me that S4700 may use BELDEN cable for its internal connection

Maybe that's Belden zip cord in there, but I didn't see any cable elevators

I do in fact have Belden speaker cable. Right now, I'm using Bryston speaker cable to go with the Bryston amp.
