    JBL SR 4722A?

I found some for sale, and was wondering if they were worth taking a look at. The price seems about right considering the components. Any opinions would be appreciated. Is it worth my time to go for a drive, or should I stay away?

They're an excellent little speaker for their designed use. The HF is basically the same as the 4425 studio monitor, but the LF uses the 2206H, which has rather limited LF compared to the 4425. For small PA use, they're great, but you'll definitely find the lows lacking if thinking of full-range music.

    subs

I was planning to use subs in combination with them, so the lows would not be a problem. I think I'll go take a drive and give them a listen.

They are just look like 4425,other similar ones are 4728 etc.if you want to use these as monitors, you must modify crossover and add sub,if you just want it as HT speakers,it is Ok

I -think- Martin is speaking in generalities... not a specific mod with a schematic and parts list...
but I'm fine with being corrected.

I happen to get a pair of these yesterday cheap. I also have a pair of 2214h's . The manual says using the biamp option that the horn eq stays in the signal path, so basically I just have to level match the drivers. I can't find the spl spec for the 2214h, I estimate 90-91 .
