cant agree with that with fir filtering(very high order more the 8th) and digital delay i can sum them wherever i want..... You are never going to get it to sum properly through the crossover point no mater where you put it.
and i can eq it how i want and dont make any changes to phase.
with filtering thre is almost no point where drivers works together.
FIR breakwall filters will be of no help there: the phase might measure flat through the crossover when measured exactly after having properly configured the delay, but move you mic 5cm and measure again...
