    Northridge Visit - Day 3

The day started out with my first opportunity to meet Waler Dick. Walter was JBL's head of transducer engineering in the 1970's. He was responsible for overseeing the development of the 4300 series of monitors and hired both Greg Timbers and Mark Gander.

At noon, we headed back to Northridge where I had my chance to check out the JBL history display. I've added some pictures to the original thread on this topic here.

The afternoon was a special occasion where I got the chance to meet with Arnold Wolf for the first time. Arnold has been one of the most significant contributors to this site. However, prior to this meeting, we had only communicated by phone and email. Here is Arnold Wolf with Ken Yasuda (left) and Koji Onodera (right).

The evening consisted of a farewell dinner with the Japanese delegation and JBL's senior management. This was the setting for the most significant development of this tour for me personally - only I can't give you the details yet. Stay tuned

    Hi Don,

It's really great that you got to see the history display,
I'm really glad it was still up for your visit.
Thanks for the additional pictures too!

    250Ti still in evidence

Notable in the conference room are the 250Ti's in the corners. Still hold some reverence within the company, perhaps?

    Smile Yep.

I noticed that, too, as well as in the "speaker vault" at the end of the aisle:

I'm gonna guess a consolidation with International. We'll be able to get ALL the stuff?

OH, and PT-F95HF is now in production....

And in the very front of that pic looks to be a TiK of some sort.
