    JBL Logo Information

After googling (love that verb!) for a while on this topic I figured I would ask the "experts". I am looking for an example of a logo from the 1980's which would have been indicative of the pro units available at that time.

I am making a stencial for some stands and wanted to add a logo to them. I know this is not original but I want something unique.

Check in the library for 1980's catalogs which will show some of the typical pro-line speaker systems. The Cabaret 4600 series for example has an orange and white JBL logo plate about 2.5 inches square and is still available from JBLPro parts.

The side logos are white stenciled over the black outer finish. I don't think these are available in any separate form from JBL.

    Here's a pc from the 1984 catalog:

Thanks! I looked through JBL's service site saw the parts but without a pic, I had no idea what I might be ordering. The orange logo I will assume is the same one used throughout this site. I originally wanted to do the stencil route and might come back to that if the orange logo does not pan out. Here is my first pass at the orange decal/label. (Resized to 1024x845 so I could post it). What should the original ones sizing be?

This may be a little off topic...

I plan to use these JBL Pro lapel pins on my LE15/375/075 diy boxes:

I plan to attach them to the grill cloth frame.

JBL makes (made) ~7/8" x ~3/4" orange grill cloth stickies with the JBL emblem is silver. They have a piece of double-side sticky tape on back. I use them on my cabinets.

BTW, I've no idea if these are still in production. My brother's ex-wife scored these for my birthday many, many years ago when she worked there.

(Anyone remember Kathy? I think her maiden name was Link???)

They are 7/8" square. They have pretty good detail. Got myself a black JBL Pro T-shrit too.
