    E145

    Merry Christmas fellow Audio Enthusiasts!

What would be the ideal volume of E145. Would also appreciate box and port dimension.

    Best Regards!

    Hi Mr. Widget,

Can I use a bigger box for the e145 to tune it to 30hz if possible. Can I have your recommendation for the dimension of the box and ports?

    Thanks!

I am not currently running BBPro or any other simulation software so I can't offer a solution. That said, I'm fairly certain the E145 will not offer optimal transient response and overall performance if tuned that low.

    Hi ChitoBG,

Larger box ( say +50%) would enhance LF response about several Hz,
but only real improvements I can imagine if the driver would be mounted about 90cm from the floor,
bass reflection from the floor would help to enhance lower LF frequency...( +6dB LF rise - shelf from LF to 100Hz ).

    regards

8 cubic ft tuned to 40 hz

I heard E145's in the cabs above(4648 cab) one 15" used and sealed other opening and left ports alone.

Sounded pretty good to me. Not subs, but good enough LF drivers to me in that cabinet.
