With so much attention on the LOOK- I wonder how it sounds? Some of the members here swear by the China made tube amps. I dunno yet..

It's only a matter of time before "made in China" will be a good thing. I promise. They have all the machinery and contracts- they just need some development....

    What's the link?
There r so many Lansing fans in China[communist area i mean, so called communist ]now, maybe he is god for his chinese followers.
It's not very easy for us to get JBL products.Fortunatly,Because of the "honeymoon"
period between Chinese communist party and US gov in 1980's,we can get many old products[heritage],but price is much more higher than amercian markets.
For the god sake,HongKong peple smuggle more and more amercian made products to mainland now, even if the higher price[they got good profits],lansing fans could not control their passion.
Answer the first question,I can tell you that the sound is good to me .
U know that chinese labor is very cheap,50 millon people have no enough food and clothes ,hand made products is good choice .
Many friends and I learnt great knowleage from the materials of this website.More and more fans stared their own JBL plans. If i can i'll report some news from them .

    That 077 shelf is great.
Does this picture from the l65 brochure imply that the size of the baffle on something like this doesn't matter too much?

The actual -6 dB dispersion at 20 kHz is 65° horizontal x 30° vertical:

I think that shelf is fine- I wouldn't worry about deflection (unless you had it sitting too far back from the baffle). What about the factory 2405 brackets? What are those dimensions? I'm not sure I can even hear at 20KHz anymore...let alone detect signal deflection.

    I like it! Plexi?
