2402 bullets paired with 2405 slots

I am now using a pair of 2402's (one on each side). I love the highs I get if I am in the "sweet spot" but my "rock room" is very large (20' x 45') and I need more coverage than I am getting from the 2402's, but I don't want to give up what I have now.

What should I expect if I add a pair of 2405 slots along side of the 2402's?
    Will there be problems?

Has anyone tried this or maybe shed some thoughts here?

    Thanks
    David

Yes, they will interfere with each other, called "Combing." Use just the slots. They only beam in the vertical. Compare beamwidth vs. frequency curves for the two drivers:

If you want "coverage," use 2404:

Or 2406/7 on the constant directivity waveguide of your choice....

The 2405 can sound very nice but you want to cross them over as high as you can say 8-10K. They are very beamy in the vertical axis so you need to set them up at your seated height in an Music/HT set-up. The 2404 will definately give you more coverage. Can you tell us what other componenets you have with them??

    Rob,

    Thanks for your comments.

    For the R & L fronts I am 4-way crossing over the following with an Ashly XR-4001;

    JBL 2402's (4500hz and up)
    Rinkus Heinz CD-3302 (2" throat mid horn) (1500hz - 4500hz)
    EV EVM 12L Pro line (12" mid) (300hz - 1500hz)
    JBL 3678 bottom (2226H 15") (100hz - 300hz)

Hope this info help, any suggestions please.
    Thanks again
    David
