I was thinking along the lines of JBL 2235 from 20Hz to 2Khz.

    Largest driver

If my memory is correct, years ago the Electrovoice Patrician system was
advertised as having a 30 inch speaker.

This has to be unquestionable the largest bass bin ever! The magnet alone must weigh 2 or 3 tons.

All, this bass bin needs is flux capacitor to run it.

I recall seeing a 30” sub bass bin in shop for sale at least 7 or 9 years ago now. I guess it was too damn large for the owner’s car. I can’t recall what the selling price was. The enclosure wasn’t included.

    Jensen/McMurdo Silver "Super Giant"

Jensen made an 18" elctrodynamic speaker for McMurdo Silver in the late 30's. It used an aluminum disk, I believe, in the center portion to extend the HF. If I remember correctly, they claimed extension up to 10kHz. Not full range now I guess, but definitely but pretty good for the 30s.

Not a full range driver. In that speaker it was the bottom of a four way. It crossed over at 100hz, 12dB/octave. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/sto...0800%20EDS.pdf

100 hz, I notice, was the highest recommended crossover point.
