I have these 4 speakers that came out of a radio station in Rochester Illinois. All the speakers and drivers appear original except for the LE 10-H1 which is perfect. The speaker wires connecting to it has the attatched cap. Do you think they used this to compensate for the difference between the 2 woofers? None of the other 3 have them.
So which wire is positive? Green w/black stripe? I have two more woofers for the one removed and the one you see in desperate need of some M.E.K.

If you have 4313B's with the LE10H's then there is no difference between the LE10H and the LE10H-1 except the color of the cones. LE10H-1 has the white aquaplas on the front and the LE10H has the white aquaplas on the back. The LE111H is also the same except it's frame is painted black instead of plain aluminum like the LE10H and LE10H-1.
Usually any wire with a stripe in it goes to the black terminal on the driver.
The 4313B and S15 used the LE10H, the L110A used the LE111H, and the L96 used the LE10H-1.
The original 4313 and L110 used the LE111A which is a different
animal.

LE10H-1 - C8RLE10H-1 - white aquaplas front - black back - silver faced frame
LE111H - C8RLE111H - black front - white aquaplas back - black faced frame
The C8RLE10H-1 and C8RLE111H have identical mass, stiffness, compliance, spider and voice coil.
BTW, it appears the C8RLE10H-1 kit has been discontinued.

Lighter weight cone in the LE111A, right? I don't remember there being any aquaplas on it, whatsoever?The original 4313 and L110 used the LE111A which is a different animal.

Your picture shows an 8.2 ohm resistor.
Looks like someone spray painted the front of that LE10H-1 frame since they come from the factory silver.

As an aside, in the 4313B, the LF is running opposite polarity to both the MF and HF. I've played around, and factory phasing (to me...) is best. Definately keep the MF/HF phased together, IMHO.

Oh - and I wondered whether that resistor was put across the terminals as a safety fuse...? But, since they were obviously in there, nosing around, are you sure they have not altered the network in some insidious (but well intended...) manner? I recall that pair of 4313B's I got from you - someone had butchered those networks!You might take some pics of the networks, if possible, and we'll be able to tell if they've been futzed with...

Here are the stats but you can use BB6P to play around with the LE111A and the LE10H in the 4313 enclosure as well as the L96 enclosure.
