They are both JBL speakers, so yes.

They have quite different configurations, so no. The L50 is a 3-way; the L19 is 2-way. I like them both. My daughter seems to prefer the "thump" of the L50, but that is entirely subjective, and not scientific like all our opinions...

What is it exactly you are asking?

I think if we were comparing the L36 to the L50 that would be a very good comparison. I have a pair of L50's and L46's and they are way different.

These subjective comparisons are tuff. Unless you happen to have a pair of each side by side it's damn near impossible to say. Not only that but what I hear as bass shy may be bright to the next guy. Want to find out, get a pair of each and see.

No....well ok....the brand name is the same. The L50 is a 10" 3 way, the L19 is an 8" 2 way. Different drivers all around, and different size enclosures...different crossovers too, obviously.

I know what the obvious differences are, but was wondering if anyone have listened to these speakers side by side, from what I've read the L19 is no slouch for its size. BTW, the L50 and L36 IMO are totally different sounding speakers. I was wondering basically if the L19 sounds more like the L50 as compared to the L36.

The L36 and L50 have more in common than the L19 has to either.

You say the L36 and L50 sound completely different from each other.

What can we tell you that would take the place of you actually listening to any of these?

You seem to be trying to cram years of listening experience into 6 months of forum grabbing. Stop it.

My advice is to buy what you can - listen to it. Build a collection, share your thoughts based on actual listening if and when someone solicits. Otherwise it's as if you are asking if Magenta looks like a mix of purple and red, and if it's pretty or not - HTF should I know what you think?
