OK
Go into your User CP, black bar under the forum heading on the left. Once you open it, also on the left will be an Edit Avatar button. Select custom and browse to the path on you computer where it is. You could just drop it on your desktop to make it easier to find. Make sure the pixel and file size are within the limits and hit the Save Changes button. That should do it.

i managed to upload the image to the member systems area but at 110 it is a few pixels too big for an avatar.If there is an easy way to shrink this i'd appreciate the info.the bigger hammer i can relate to but its hard on the computer. thanx jc
when you look at the picure on your computer- what program opens it up for you? Do you have an option to re-size?
