    LEASE BREAKER DELUXE

Here is a serious set of JBL speakers that the owner/builder calls THE LEASE BREAKER DELUXE. Take a gander at these babies. Makes me want to fall on my knees and pray.

I have that picture pinned up on my wall I love it so much.

    Why?
Because sometimes when you're playing Aerosmith
you want it to sound like they're in the room with you!

It's just what the (mad) doctor ordered.

I guess its easier to build baffles if you dont need to cut the sheets of wood

The owner of these towers must have a "practice wife" as well not a "current wife"

Totally F'n awesome. I just spent $8500 to get the foundation on my house fixed and I know my 2241h contributed to this. Be careful man, you could do a lot of damage with that!

These speakers belong to a friend named Tim Alderman who lives in Oakland, Ca.

" It took nine months to build in 1977. Weigh about 600# each, third generation modelled after JBL S8 loudspeaker. These infinate baffles boxes are triple braced with kiln dried 2"x2", extremely high density 1.5" particle board and poured with resin on each inside surface. The front baffle panel is stressed to the rear where additional 1"x6" ribs form a backbone. The whole idea is to make the box as inert as possible.
The boxes were built to be the last speakers I would ever need. Now after being refurbished they will finally speak again after ten years of silence."
I told Tim that his system made my 4350 column plans seem like bookshelf speakers.
