    What year was a 4 Ohm D130 or D130F available?

    I recently run across your website and was impressed with high level of expertise on JBL and speakers in general here. I hope someone here can answere a JBL-related question. I have read the D130 history (D130F musical instrument version etc.).

    I recently obtained a solid state Standel Custom 15 with a 4 Ohm D130F speaker. The amp chassis is dated Nov 1964. This model, back in the mid sixties according to The Standel Company (Danny McKinney pres.), originally come with a D130. My question is did JBL make a 4 Ohm D130 model back in 1964? I suspect the original speaker was an 8 Ohm model.

    - I can't give you actual production run dates, but JBL did offer the following at one time ;

    D130F ( 8 ohm )
    D130F-2 ( 4 ohm )
    D130F-6 ( 16 ohm )
