Are you multi-amping the Maggies? Most Maggies have a lot of bass bloom without a MC240... I would bet that is pushing it... and only 40 watts?

He has heard my tube gear for years and has decided to take the plunge. He is going to run the 240 as a trial and if he likes (Which I bet he will) then he will get another 240 and run them together
