Seller claims this pair of S8R systems are from 1974 and he is the original owner. (I don't think the S8R system included the 077 until the 1979 S8R-2 system that also came with LE15-H woofers.)

These have always been in my climate controlled home (i.e. never stored and are from a smoke-free and pet-free home.
Each cabinet weighs approximately 150 lbs. and is 45” wide x 19” deep x 38” tall. – My friends often refer to these as "THE BIG KAHUNAS". The midrange dispersion lens is easily removable – as can be seen in the photo with the grill cloth removed. The lower section of the cabinet – where the bass & passive radiator are present – is air tight for proper performance. The voice coils are flat ribbon wire hand wound to get maximum density and capacity. The Alnico V magnets used in ALL the drivers produced 250% more energy than a comparable ferrite magnet. All components are precisely machined to achieve exacting sound reproduction.
The serial numbers are as follows:

Ø2-LX5 cross over networks: 30760 & 30761
Ø2-N7000 cross over networks no serial numbers visible on outside
Ø2-077 high frequency drivers: 40156 & 30924
Getting into each lower cabinet where the LE15A bass speaker & PR15 passive radiators are located is difficult. I cannot disassemble the lower airtight cabinet without breaking seals. Each cabinet has the airtight back secured in position with 42-2" wood screws. The seam joints on the back - although a tight fit - were sealed with silicone rubber. The bass and passive radiator in each cabinet are front loaded, mounted with 8 machine screws & nuts supplied by JBL and sealed to the front baffle with the circular silicone gasket seal also supplied by JBL. I will not break these seals simply to get the serial numbers.
For years from it’s beginning through the 1970’s, JBL built what the most knowledgeable audiophiles would consider the “Rolls Royce” of speakers. JBL was used in the finest recording studios because of the truly sound reproduction. They were – and still are – some of the most efficient speakers built.
These systems – built in 1974 – are still used as beautiful pieces of furniture. The cabinets are finished in gloss black walnut stain and are on casters. The cabinets are “handed”, that is – mirror images of each other.
As the original owner of these, I’m selling them simply to downsize and give someone else the opportunity to enjoy music at it’s best. They have served me well and I would put them up against any other similar size system for performance.
