    Aloha! L-100s onThe Big Island

Hi everyone. Don't know if I'm in the right spot, but I am just starting to build my sound system. I picked up a pair of JBL L100 Centurys Serial numbers are consecutive and are 189818A and 189819A Interesting to note that they were originally purchased in Montreal Canada. Is there a list of serial numbers on this sight? And a way to determine when they were made? Thanks, Dave.

    JBL C38 serial numbers

Hi all, wanted to add my information to the registry. It's an 030 system in C38 cabinets, with the following serial numbers:

    D130: 45376 & 45406
    075: 21194 & 21202
    N2600: 7253 & 7260

The only legible portion of the date stamped on the crossovers is "59" on the #7253 unit. Everything else is too faded to read.

I've noticed the layout of the C38 cabinets changed over time; my units have the D130 located in the bottom center of the baffle, with the 075 mounted in the upper left and a 4 1/4" diameter circular port in the upper right.

    Cheers,

    Ben

    Hello Ben,

Thank you for your useful additions to the registry. IMO these components can be repurposed to greater sonic effect, as the N2600 runs the 075 much too low, causing sonic hell. I dismantled similar systems years ago, though in aftermarket cabinets. Your situation may be different, as you would probably get the most $$ selling these original systems intact.

Really, it asks for a server identity. And when I do, it doesn't give me any information ?

Can someone just give me a link please ?

    L220's

I have a pair of L220's in mint condition that I purchased new in 1977 from a place in Savannah, GA, known as Norwood's. The serial numbers are: 14216 and 14229. I have kept them up over the years and keep the cabinets polished.
