Hello All,
I've added my D1005 to the registry. Thanks for the work you've done. It's been very interesting learning the history here.
Jeremy
Paragon serial number 504 is in Honolulu...I think they were 1968?
i just recently picked up a couple D208s.. serial no. 48547 and 48550. pretty close together..
they had some splitting in the paper cones, which i repaired from the underside with some diluted weldbond white glue and thin napkin paper. very minimal mass added, and is holding nicely.
i am wondering if there is any info to date D208s in the serial no. registry?
cheers,
marc

Please help us save more info about the vintage systems. Let us register your speakers and drivers.
I added my recently purchased L100's to the registry the other day and now i can't find the database. Can someone post the link?
Thanks
Perhaps a different set of serial numbers?the registry shows an time gap of about 1983-1984 for this numbers
Purely looking for Trimlines in JBL catalogs, it seems 1967-69 would be a more likely manufacture date.
That and by '76 the catalogs show the move to Northridge from the Casitas Ave. (Los Angeles) location.
right. that's why the manufacturer location on the foilcal has me puzzled a bit
if the S/N range for those drivers would normally indicate a mid '80s driver
(still using 10 year old foilcals at the time? I'd guess not)
LE8T's in the picture havd Alnico pots - the LE8t had transitioned to the LE8T-H by the end of the 70's...
That the internet contains a blog documenting your life does not constitute proof that your existence is valid. Sorry.
curious.. the foilcals don't show any signs of manipulation to my eye..
they are definitely alnico magnets.
here are more numbers from the rest of the system:
PR8 serial 11949 (has silver dust cap)
C54 Cabinets 69152 and 69154
