Can you tell me the details of this notice? Where was it published? Is the system currently for sale?

I can tell you that this is the current pet project of Greg Timbers. It was still in the prototype stage this spring. The intent was a series of speakers to replace the Tik line. Where Tik was strictly a European design and build, this new series would be a Northridge project. The driver listing you have is correct for the top-of-the-line prototype I saw. These used the berylium versions of the compression drivers, but the production units may be the lower cost aluminum and titanium versions.

The heart of the project is the vertically aligned biradial horn. Greg has always felt that this was a superior alignment and had played around with this configuration for some time. He convinced management to proceed with the development of prototypes, but there had still been no decision to go forward with production last April. Below is a picture of the prototype.

    Thumbs up Flipped Horn

    Hi

That's great information. Love it !

I can only imagine the restistance that G.T. must have run up against when he suggested that horn orientation - as per the above pictures .

Any idea why he or JBL have never joined the round-mouthed horn ( axis-symetrical ) band-wagon ?

    regards <> Earl K

    Yes please!!!

I am glad to see JBL seems to be going with 12 and 15 inch drivers. I like big woofers.
