    4350 Crossover

    Howdy All
What would be a good alternative to the 5234 crossover for a 4350 hybrid project. I currently have a pair of NOS 3107's I plan on using but I believe there have probably been a few improvements in the active crossover technology in the past thirty years.

    Thanks

I've used a few different 5234's with both factory and custom built cards for my 4343's and my home builts using the 3107's. 5234's suck. I didn't know they suck until I tried an M552. It is MUCH better sounding and much more versatile. I know there are much better crossovers out there but IMHO the M552 is a good bang for the buck.

The 5234A is way better than the 5234.

Thanks abunch! Apparently Brownell Sound in Portland is closing their retail business and has a closeout sale in progress. I will give them a shot after Santa recovers.

Had a 5234A and it sucked too! Come to think of it, I wasn't too thrilled with my 5235 either, although it clearly outperformed either of the 5234 series without question. IM sometimes not so HO, I'd spend $50 more for the M552 and have something adjustable, better sounding and more versatile. I still have one around just in case.

Yeah, back then the 5234A was the catalyst for me to start building all my own. I like those cases as they make decent project enclosures.

I envy your technical skills. If I REALLY understood 1/10th of what some of you guys do... Hell, I can plug in the coffee maker without any troubles. What more do I need?
