    Lansing Annual Forums Awards

We need to have some fun and post what were the funniest post or "quotes"" for the year that has gone.

The more serious types might consider thow in their 2 cents on the best technical posts and not so technical posts (moderators and Techbots posts are excluded).

We also need a gong award.

I also forgot to mention we need a award a certificate of natural stupidity.(that might be spliting hairs for some so think careful before posting your scores of nominations)

Perhaps at the end of the thread or after a reasonable number of submissions we can vote of the best of the best.

Edirol most deserves the Gong Award, hands down.

[In the abstract sense, of course.... ]

    Noteable and quotable

The following by Ian appears to be a sarcastic masterpiece. Appears? Hell, it IS a sarcastic masterpiece.

"The highs zimmer beautifully, the bass firm but nibble and not clamped like before."

    Oh,

I think that is the great typo award.

    It should have read

"The highs shimmer beautifully, the bass firm but nimble and not clamped like before."

I tend write nice things about equipment and people I like listening to and not quite so nice about those I don't!

    Ian,

Nevertheless, as written, it satirized the typical ad copy extolling the virtues of over-priced audio gear.

I know you told me there were typos, but still the stroke of genius remains.

I'd have to agree. WOW! Did that go bad fast! Fun to read.
    BTW. What was the outcome?
I still think Yuri's intentions were good. Things just went bad for everyone.

So who's getting the Gong award.

Giskard was previously won it twice before (literally...muhhaha ) so it would be unfair to award him again.

My nomination is the Edirol Raptor.

    No no you mis-understood me..

Yours was on purpose and not without good reason!

Where as the Raptor's brain has been fryed by his Edirol.

What he does is not on purpose......a disability apparently.
