    Enclosure...

Has anyone informations on the original vt 4881 enclosure using the 2256g
I think this was a vented bassreflex enclosure!?

But in my understanding this driver should work very well in a sealed enclosure.
Has anyone experience using the 2256g in a sealed enclosure?

    Hi, i have bought some of these bass drivers 2256G and build a test box with the following dimensions. 50cm X 57cm x 41cm ( W x H x D).

The bass was deep and extended, these are excellent bass drivers that have a big impact. This was a sealed box too. Hope this helps.

Small signal measurments are close to meaningless on some of these huge motor, heavy cone speakers with suspension designed for very high power and very large Xmax / Xmech.

Constant voltage / low impedance measurements with a VI box at several Watts are required to even see the port frequency on many of the vented pro subs that I have measured in the last decade.

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    Yes, indeed!
That would be about 3cubic feet internal volume...
