    Once you go full-size...

...you ain't ever going back. Case in point. Just finished refoaming the 128H's on the very nice L-112's that I got from Clmrt here, over the weekend. A friend from work and another vintage JBL convert (my fault) came over at lunch to demo the little guys and they sound nice. They look nice. He's stoked and super happy with them and that's great, but... I'm spoiled. The L-300's and even my mod'd L-150's are what it takes these days to kick over the fun meter.

I told my bud if he ever wants more, than he's going to either have to 'super-size' the next order, or maybe put some 2214H's in those little boxes and I'm not sure that would work. It worked great on the L-150's, but I'd have to do the research to consider it. It seems the 2214H works best in the full-size boxes, L100T, 4315, etc. But he said he'll be happy with them and that's great.

I take your point, and certainly agree, but a small correction: The 4315 used the 2203.

Thank you very much! I learn something new every day. I swore that deep paper cone looked like a 2214H! It certainly looks like it could move some air, compared to the 'shallower' cones of other JBL models.
