2405 vs 077

I'm looking for a pair of 2405, and I've found two 077 tweeters
I can't figure out what are the differences between these two items. I only know that 077 was used in the L300 or similar
These two different items can be exchanged ?

077s have the clear lucite wedge and while it makes no difference in the sound, this is highly desirable to some buyers.

well...maybe I'm not able to use the SEARCH, but I've just found threads talking about technical issue like different impedance curve etc etc, but no one that reported different impressions regarding as they SOUND.....

Hi. I have had both, but not at the same time. As far as I remember they sound the same.

I am not sure if it is true, but I have been told that the lense? on the 077 sometimes got loose. Anybody heard about this?

I like the alnico's for there size. They are a bit easier to work with in tight spaces. As far as the difference I have never compared them. I have seen the 077 with it's plastic lense cracked when they used too much torgue reinstalling the lense. Normally if unmolested the ones I have seen have been in good shape.

The 2405, 077, and 2405H are all supposed to sound the same. If you think they sound different it's because they vary from unit to unit, not model number to model number.
