What does an "R" stamped on serial # plate indicate ?

On both of the L-112's I just purchased I see that after the string of numbers on serial # plate there is an "R" stamped.
Should one speaker be a "L" and one a "R" ? Searched all over and can't find an explanation of what the "R" indicates....

I think you are correct sir, as the L112 was intended to be sold in mirror image pairs.

I just looked at mine and didn't see either L or R on them, wish i could help you solve the mystery, I am sure though that since they are mirror imaged, it shouldndt matter. GOOD LUCK
