Question Opinions about these ? Anybody hear these before

    Hi Guys
Forgive me for throwing something not JBL into the mix here but I was wondering what you guys may think of these.

I have heard these and am quite amazed with them. The specs are quite impressive and I have messed with them in many differant configs as they are so versatile. I respect the wealth of brains here and was just wondering if anybody else had anything to say on these drivers or maybe tried them

    Thanks

I first saw these in 1996 at the AES show.I did get to hear them a few months later at a canned music demo.

As I always say,a speakers quality is measured in its application.

For my applications (pro sound) they were not quite right.

They do sound good, nothing special in my book, typical large format ribbon toneality.

I"m not trying to take anything away from them. They are well built enclosures using someone elses woofers and ribbon tweeters.

    Just not right for me.But as we all know,Opinions are like _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ !

    Old is new again

ESS did the same thing with Oscar Heil in the mid 70's.... as I recall the folks at GEFCO made the actual production pieces. Twin motors, one at each end of the array operating opposed cones via pushrods.

Yeah, I was wondering if some ESS folks might not be involved here. ESS was in Sacramento and these guys are here in the Bay Area... I might give them a call.

As I recall Dr. Heil never quite got the bugs out of his driver.
