It looks like the back volume of the 2416 is smaller than the 2425/6's, but shouldn't one plug or cover the .035" aprox hole if You use it in a cabinet with a woofer?, it reminds me also of the 2410/20's, that had little spacers between the diaph and the plate (I forget which), the 2410's volume was smaller than the 2420's.

    Ideas?

    Thanks, Alex.

If JBL uses them unplugged, which they do, I woudn't worry. As a matter of fact its deliberate they could just as easilly have it with no hole.

I don't understand what you mean (my poor english!)
Somebody who had tad 4001 said me that he remove the back cover, and find a better sound !
I just want to know if someone on this forum think about this.
    Thanks.

    Hello delahais

That response was to if the vent hole in the back of the 2416 should be plugged when the driver goes into a reflex box because of the back preasure on the diaphram from the woofer.

As far as removing the backs?? Never tried it. How do you contain the sound from the back of the diaphram or was the Tad driver in its own subenclosure???
