    Don...

I know - and so I converted all to hi-res jpg's in today's upload to ftp/incoming on your end. Give them a look and see if that works better.

As an aside, near as I can tell the pdf's retained all the original detail, and for the end user (there I go again...), once in that format are scalable without loss of resolution. But that is all only real interesting, at this point, and an unsolicited to owning the full Acrobat (I finally broke down...).

If today's upload don't improve things, let me see what John thinks...

And Giskard!! Back in your corner...!!

OK, back to the games... Anybody got a L40 network...?

    What corner?

What would you want with an L40 network?

    Bo,

I've got Adobe Acrobat for editing pdf files and a very-high resolation scanner - Creo Eversmart Supreme - so I could either work with the pdfs or make jpgs.

If you want to work with the pdfs, you could just buy Acrobat as it's pretty cheap.

Pdfs can be very much better or very much worse than jpgs, depending on how they were made. Using a program such as Adobe Illustrator and probably many design programs - I'm familiar with Illustrator - drawn lines are stored as vectors which are pretty small and the resolution can effectively be infinite. Importing an image and trying to reduce it to vectors is not so good, so in that case jpg would be better.

    Bottom line...

If your pdfs are of images, a rescan and jpg would be the way to go. If they were exported as vectors from a line drawing, stick with the pdf.

    John

PS. I see you already got Acrobat!

    Hey, John...

Waiting to see what Don can make of the recent upload. I think he's still recuperating from the heavy lifting this weekend!

If he can't use the hi-res jpg's I made (in Acrobat), are there other "File/Save As" options I should consider?

Alternately, I hand-carry these with, or FedEx ahead of my trip.

¿Thoughts (before you disappear into the day's ether...)?

I downloaded them last night and they are fine. I have some editing work to do on them (cropping and resizing) and then the web page creation. I'll won't be able to get to this until the weekend.
