i come from the høme of yorkville...toronto, canada. actually they moved just outside of town to build their head quarters at much reduced cost of course. (along with bryston and a few others; they're neighbours in a little high tech enclave)
since they are home grown we have always dumped on them...you know, nothing compared to the real speakers like JBL and EV. the pulse series are their mid line working musician aka. JBL's SR series or caberate series years before that. the whole line is actually pretty good for the money. some of their guitar amps sound surprisingly good, right out of the preamp. even their stage monitors deliver good clear gain and they are nice and small. as for the 18's they are strictly P.A. use and while they do deliver the shear volume of a large speaker they lack the fidelity for critical listening. on the other hand, enough of them in a club and they can kick.
