The grey matter

Does anybody know what colour the grey was on 4320's.
A colour code or number would be helpful as a friend is about to restore a pair.

Are you talking about the color the cabinet is finished in? Plenty of discussion about JBL 'Blue', but I haven't seen one. Try the search function (I did and couldn't come up with anything for JBL 'Grey'. Most people would rather have the cabs in walnut. Not sure what's underneath, but depending on what you're asking, someone might be able to help.

Yeah the colour of the cabinet was grey(you had an option those days).
The cabinets have since been painted gloss black,so we can't get a colour match.
