    Side mounted woofers/subs

I have a cabinet height problem I am trying to work through. If you try a vertical inline with a 15/10/slat and 2405 it gets tall and puts the slot to high. To make matters worse I have a sub under that. Can't move the subs or increase cabinet width not enough space for either. So I was thinking of building an 8cu ft low box with the midwoofer firing front Sub on the side. Just divide the volume between the two. I can't see any issue with the sub on the side. How much clearance do you think I need from the driver and wall??? Just wondering if I am missing something.

    Hi Rob,

    Sounds like a good solution,

I would just make sure there is at least distance equal to one port diameter to allow for the port ouptut.

Having said that the ports can go any where, even the back and the sub on the back too , anything belwo 80 hz in non directional

    cheers
