Thanks very much for all of the help. I'm still learning.

Would I lessen the inherent compromise of using a 136A woofer in the L-200 (with one of two ports covered) using the LX-16 1200 Hz crossover point by using a 2235H woofer instead?

The 2235H spec sheet says that the highest recommended crossover frequency is 1000 Hz. The FR graph looks like it is + or - 2 dB out to 1800 Hz or so on axis.

Compare the curves. 2235H turns to poop at 1 kHz, whereas 2231's good to 2 kHz, if they are to be believed.

If you perceive 1200 Hz to be a problem, move down to 800 Hz as first option....

Personally I would not try to use a 15" woofer up to 1200Hz.

It has a large, rather heavy cone. Details will be lost compared to both a compression driver and a smaller cone driver.

Forget the LX16. Throw it in the trash. Build a pair of N200B filters, charge couple them and enjoy. Zilch provided you with the N200B schematic earlier in this thread.

I was taught NOT to take advantage of the suckers born every minute. I'd throw them in the trash.
