    Cycling in Italy

Ok, given the last couple of posts, I can't resist.
I got back last week from 15 days of riding my
bike in the northeast part of Italy (the Veneto).
My third year riding in Italy. 3 pics: me on the
21 km climb to Passo Rolle (in the Dolomites),
the top of P. Rolle, and the antipasto spead at
our HQ restaurant. Riding, eating and drinking
    well... that's the life!

Looks great.. ( I use to ride and race also until I got diabeties)

It''s nice that biking is the one sport you can do after eating

how far did you ride a day and how high were the mountains? If you have more pictures I'll like to see them.

    Yum!

I'd ride all day if there was an antipasto spread like that waiting for me. Great pictures!
    Out.

    What's a triple? Just kidding...

Thanks for sharing, I am envious... I guess it's time for a quick ride through the park.

It would be OK with me if someone went ahead and answered that question.

A triple chain ring on the crank set.... back in the days of "10 speeds" they would be called a 15 speeds... now with rear cassette free wheels with 9 and 10 gears, the term "10 speed" means something else.

Just got back from a very refreshing ride... now it's time to go to work.

I don't know what this means either, but somehow I know not to ask.

Oh yes! Some strong riders show up with a double,
but after a week of 2000+ m. climbing every day,
even they will look at a triple with some envy.

I did the Passo Rolle climb in a 30x23.

Traffic was varied depending on where we rode. It's pretty
light on the mountain passes (except for the weekends when
there are hordes of motorcyclists), but can be pretty busy
    on the secondary roads.

The big difference is Italian drivers: they expect to share the
road with bikes and for the most part are very accommodating.
Cycling is huge in Italy, both as a sport and as a means of
    transportation.

I toured by bike in Asia, I road in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, new Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong.

Best climb ever was a 8000 ft mountain in Taiwan, and a 50 mile downhill to the sea
