Don, well now I know exactly where you live. They have turned that part of the old warehouse district into a nice little neighborhood. Julie and I toured through there a couple of years back.

I love the acoustics in that old theatre and saw some of my favorite concerts there. I will get back to this thread with the story. You will have a chuckle at my expense.

I went back and forth a few years ago and finally sold mine and my wife's SLR's. I did a bunch of research and picked the Panasonic/Leica DMC-FZ10. They were $500 last x-mas and are down around $400 now. It's not an SLR, but it has a killer Leica 12X optical zoom lens. I'm still getting good with it but it can take some stunning photos.
