got a onkyo m504 for $15

I used one for quite a while - but ultimately found it lacking in bass response. I don't know if it was lacking in output impedance or what.

I had the same experience. It is a steal at $150 or even $350. I bought mine years back from one call. Hooked them up to a pair of Jubals and lost some bass compared to the Pioneer SX-1250 that was hooked up prior. I'm not bad mouthing the amp it apparentley just wasn't a good match. At a $150 you can't go wrong!

Yes, I used to have one. I got it from eBay, a mint condition for $550.00.
Used it for 4 months and sold it on eBay for $650.00.
Extremely painful sounding amp!! Upper mid and high are just piercing the eardrums. No soundstage. Bass was good for my tower speakers. But again, I really wanted to like it for its cool look, yet the sound was just
unbearable for long time listening.
