    I was wondering why he had the airconditioning vents in his speakers? Maybe those are actually a pair of refridgerators.

    That is an Altec. The one used in the 12" coax 601 and also the 602 coax. I have a 12" 601 and that tweeter sounds mighty fine.

    Probably because they are Klangfilm Eurodyn's with the diffuser plates fitted. I've seen just the plates sell for L300 prices and the Eurodyn's go for as much as Hartsfield's. They may not be JBL but there's a reason those shown in the photo have been given pride of place above all the others in his collection..... they are considered by many to be the best speakers ever built.
