    Link

    Hi Rob

    Here is the link

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...316122855&rd=1

He mentions horn so I don't know if he has a pair or not. Didn't realize the Everest horn was that big. Would love to have a pair but I can barley get through the house now because of Large Format JBL stuff.

    Regards
    AL

Notice how the listing goes from "What the Heck" to "World famous" Can't be that famous Famous means the average Joe knows what it is. Whenever that horn shows up most people never have a clue what it is???

    World Famous???

Does a product made in California that is famous in Japan qualify? That may be enough...

As a long time reader and poster on this forum I knew what they were, but before this site I had never seen an Everest let alone the 4660, and I still have never heard either one.

It is a physically very large horn. It is too large to be shipped by the US Post Office via surface mail so shipping would be considerable.

    2346 horn

UPS wasn't bad cost-wise (shipped a pair from Wisconsin to SoCal...) and if you pack
them yourself with foam wedges, they fit pretty survive-ably (a word?) in rectangular boxes. The 4660(A) horns don't have the same mounting bolt pattern as pictures I've seen of the Everests, and the mounting flange appears to be a bit wider, but I've only pictures to compare to. Happy to take measurements (non-acoustic) of the pair I liberated from
a set of 4660A's upon request (might take a day or two).

just sketches... not dimensioned CAD files... (nice S2600 rendering)
yes, measures would be helpful. I'll forward some guesses in the next day or two.
Then folks can tell me how full of crap I am :-)

sure... let me dig them up...may look more like Picasso than Leonardo though

I've also spoken to Jan and will take some 2346
horn measurements/photos to help along those lines.
