That is a pic of one of the early synths, late 60' early 70's. One of the early pioneers using/developing these was a woman named Wendy Carlos.....she also used to build her own electronics) One of the first albums I remember her doing was called " Switched on Bach " back in the early 70's.

Yes, I remember Wendy Carlos, one of the women with two first names (like Ann Margaret). Another keyboardist who got into the synth thing was Dick Hyman, a man whose name inspired many a riotous response during my college days.
