Flux density and gap geometry, 123A vs. 122A?

Hey, does anyone have the data on the flux density and gap geometry, for a 122A vs. a 123A? From the naked eye, these look like "compatible" baskets... but the question is, is the magnetic strength comparable?

Actually, if not the 122A, if anyone could compare the 123A/2212 magnet assembly to any of the foam surround 12" diameter, 3" coil drivers (122A, 126A, 128H, 129H), that would be good. Just trying to get an idea if a 123A could be reconed as a 122A or 126A...

    Regards,
    Gordon.

    Hi Gordon,

Gap Geometries ; from 1977 ( couldn't reference 2213 gap info, though the implication is .048" ) - see Giskards post

    .044" : 2212, 123A-1, 126A
    .048" : 123A-3
    .053" : 122A

    - sort of following JBLs' logic from the 1984 "Goes Into List"

    C8R2212 : 123A, 123A-1, 2212, 401-133 ( Heathkit )
    C8R2213: 123A-3, 2213, 2213H
    C8R126A: 126A, ( NLA I believe )
    C8R128H: 128H
    C8R129H: 122A, 122A-1, 129H

    Flux Density : in tesla

    1.00 : 123A, 2213, 2213H,
    1.07 : 2214H, 128H,
    1.08 : 122A,

BL Product: in T*m ( this will give you an idea how much wire length is stuffed into those gap areas )
    8.9 : 123a, 2213, 2213h
    16 : 122a, 128h, 2214h

Re: in ohms ( another somewhat indirect indicator for total winding length of VC wire )

    4.4 : 123a, 2213, 2213h
    5.6 : 2214
    5.7 : 122a, 128h,
