    Adding 075 into Apollo

I'm putting the 075 tweeter into an Apollo with the 85's and a LE15. The question is about the mounting rings for the 075's. How does it go on the face or behind the baffle? The last time I worked with 075's the mountingn was part of the speaker frame so I've never dealt with this mounting before. Thanks, Frank

With almost all JBL speakers of this vintage, the 075 is made to go behind the baffle. The mounting ring has an adjustable clamp mechanism, so that you can precisely set the depth of the horn mouth into the baffle, so that the edge of the mouth comes forward to line up precisely flush with the baffle. AFAIK, the Apollo works like this...

    Regards,
    Gordon.
