    Since you asked...

Don't like the cloth they chose.

Not fond of the asymmetric grain patterns... even on the same cabinet.

Nice knobs for Harvey to drool over...

These speakers are one the earliest series of speakers directly designed by James B. Lansing.
    really...

There are other "vintage" JBL's I would choose over those for $6900,
but that's just my own preference.

We need Harveys input to ascertain what the decals "SH" designation means.

Never saw them either... aparently someone snagged the tweeters and the networks at some point... kind of a clever design, but not George Nelson's greatest and as for the sonics??? Well...

I'll grab the pics for posterity.

This is the third pair that I have seen. I just don't know if they are herman miller, there's an on going debate about the legs JBL used, people say they are and a lot say they aren't. There was a lot of mid century speaker cabinets made and consoles for that matter, for people who had eames/hermin miller furniture and the style in their house...so they would have their entertainment center built to match or go through a third party retailer. I just have a hard time believing they are....They also seem strange, as for sonics and for the design. Lots of dead space....seeing the cabinets that Eames made for Trusonic...I would expect to see that quality from herman miller.

And his name is George Nelson, not Babyface Nelson.

Ok missed that...so I suppose they truly are...still I think the style could have been better. I'd rather spend my $$ on something better sounding/looking. Or hold out for another pair of these.

I think there was a pair for sale on LHS a couple of years ago with Bozak drivers. I contacted the seller and I think they were about $3000 for the pair. Pretty cool looking cabinets. Here's the link http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...e+alvin+lustig
