I've only built the 12 foot subs from that same article. Awesome! I'm sure the 8 foot (B460) is killer also.
I can tell you that I used round ports for my first pair and square ports for the second and could not hear a difference or any wind noise either way.
By the way, if you need a JBL badge for the grille of your new sub, check out the JBL Pro site. They sell lapel pins for $1.95 each that are very similar in size to the badges on the Ti and L series (a little smaller). But, the are gloss black with chrome lettering and have the JBL logo with the word "Professional" under it. I got four of them and think they're really great looking. I dig the "JBL Pro" thing.
While your at it check out the tee shirts. White for $5.00 and black for $7.00!! Get one of each!
Sorry for the off-topic rambling. I get excited about good deals!
Thanks for Tips
Is it better when the 8cubic Enclosure includes three 4inch Tubes, like the original B460?
No. Those ports were exposed and small by design to keep cats out. Use as few ports as possible. One big one is "better" than three smaller ones. I often use dual 6" ID ports for subs.
