Equivalence Table JBL consumer and pro gear

    Hi

This is probably a dumb question but can someone point me to a table etc which identifies equivalent or near equivalent JBL consumer and pro gear - eg 375 = 2440, or LX5 = 3110. For example can it be said that a L300 is broadly equivalent to a 4333 or is it a 4333A?

I came to JBL gear through a friend who had a pro background so I have a very limited knowledge of the consumer grade gear even though my interest is with DIY home speakers rather than pro applications. I am not sure why JBL decided to adopt dual labelling in the first place for components. Certainly from the point of view of some one who is mainly interested in obsolete components (not the market JBL would focus on) I find it confusing.

    TIA

    Ted

Well, no, LX5 is 500 Hz, and 3110 is 800 Hz. You're thinking of 3115, rather, and I think even that has different topology.

    We need a chart, yup.

    Thanks very much.

I assume you will post how to find it when it is available? Not exactly sure what you mean by the Technical Reference Section.

    Regards

    Here's a quick matrix -

Note that it is highly unlikely the dates from Harman for the L300 and L300A are correct.
All these components are acoustical equivalents.
