    Interesting... thanks for sharing.
I wonder who their market is for this stuff. Maybe in other countries? I can't imagine there is much demand here in the US.

The SA550 appears to have Arcam’s class G amplification, Dirac and some digital inputs.

They have two TT’s too. Probably from an OEZm like Project or Marantz-Denon.

Well they wouldn’t be doing it unless they thought there was a return on their investment.

It does conjure up the notion of a whole showroom floor of JBL.

I wonder what good old Jim Lansing would have thought about this.

No real surprise here. When Samsung took over Harman it did mention they would CAPITALIZE on the JBL name. There you have part of it.

After headphones and gadgets we might see JBL hand bags, etc in the future, who knows... lol

Unfortunately, that's all the kids are into these days. I remember being at party several years ago, was flabbergasted when a guest started played "music" through her phone, dumped it in a salad bowl and said that's all you need.

Sad to see what they're doing with the JBL brand, guess it's going the way Marantz did when Philips bought 'em out.

There electronics. (under Harman ownership) wasn’t great according to Greg Timbers .

So outsourcing today is probably the preferred option unless you want manufacturing in Mexico.

Without a brand presence in these retail markets they wouldn’t survive. It’s as simple as that. However l would prefer JBL have their own show rooms in large retail centres.

Macintosh have stuck to a solid retail merchandising plan over here and they now have a strong brand presence.
