I now have a pair, each of 2235H, 2118J and 2404. Was there a ready-made JBL product (that I'm not able to find) using these drivers?

If I remember right there was an older Gold Sound Speaker kit Have no idea if they are still alive the link is not secure. Maybe they have the schematic??
Got an extra pair of 2118J's could do 4612's and subs.
Closest I think would be a 4628 E-145 instead of 2235 Cabaret MI cabinet as far as drivers.

Thanks. I remember that company. It's the same complement, I believe. I have 4612OK cabinets, so I guess I'll build them. They're one of my favorites. I have plenty of options for subs.Too many drivers, not enough time.
There was 4628B Cabaret cabinet made for keyboards. I had some and never took a cotton to them for stereo use. I guess others felt the same way because they used to be <$500 a pair all day.

The 2404-1 had to attempt to play down to 3KHz to meet the 8” mid. They don’t do that well.
Put a 1” driver and decent horn in there and you probably have something.

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
Good Sound kit #11 used a 2226 , 2118, 2404. Check out their 4 way JBL kit #14. 2242, 2206, 2418, 2404 as of 2021
Forgot to mention early GS kit 11 had the 2235H with those components and they used a 200hz and 5K for the crossover points. That 8” had to get very beamy at that frequency
