It all seems a bit pedantic to me. School me as to why it makes any difference as long as both speakers in an operating pair are connected the same? Irrespective of internal wiring and assuming that is per the schematic. Just curious. We have this discussion quite frequently and it comes off like a discussion of motor oil on an automobile board.

In the hifi world with a single pair of speakers operating in a room at one time it is merely a curiosity. On live stages in the late 70s and early 80s with multiple speakers in use at the same time often from different manufactures it was often a train wreck.

exactly, by virtue of this my 4333 with the AA battery test must come in by attaching the positive of the battery to the red terminal block of the speaker ... this happens with the internal green cable connected to the red button of the speaker 2231H.
