    As a follow up, I just did a quick search and found this very economical and pretty simple solution from Mini DSP.

    You will probably need a little help and some guidance, but I bet you can navigate it. For $100 plus an amp you can get going.

    I appreicaite all your help on this. Like I said I'm probably a dinosaur as I'm stuck in the 70-80's as far as technology is concerned wih stereo equipment goes. I belong to several stereo groups and half the time I don't have a clue what they are talking about. I have enough enformation I can search and muddle thru it.
