There are a pair of LE14A-1's currently on ebay (item#5743260714). Was it typical of that model to have unpainted or different color magnets?

Some of the early ones did just like the LE-8's.

It was NOT typical, and those look like raw metal there.

Those are very early foilcals, though.

I have S/N 5480 right here, and it's black crinkle, 16 ohms, with the more typical gold/silver foilcal surrounding the vent hole.

Those 10K+ S/N's may not be definitive, but....

The reason that I asked is that this is the same guy that burned me on a NOS JBL 2482 recently. I reported the fraud to ebay with no results. My mission in life now is to watch this clown!
